Steps to Add Your Accountant:

Step 1: Sign In to Your NetSuite Account

What to Do: Open your browser, navigate to NetSuite, and log in using your administrator credentials.

Dashboard Look: You’ll land on the NetSuite home dashboard with menus for Reports, Transactions, Setup, and Lists.

Step 2: Go to Setup > Users/Roles

What to Do: From the top navigation bar, click on Setup, then navigate to Users/Roles > Manage Users.

Dashboard Look: You’ll see a list of current users along with their assigned roles.

Step 3: Add a New User (Your Accountant)

What to Do: Click New User (or edit an existing one if you’ve already created an account). Enter your accountant’s name, email address, and login credentials.

Dashboard Look: A form will appear prompting you to input basic details and assign roles.

Step 4: Assign the Accountant Role

What to Do: In the Roles section, select Accountant (or External Accountant, depending on your setup). This role provides access to financial reports, transactions, and accounting tools while limiting administrative controls.

Dashboard Look: A list of roles will be available to choose from with checkboxes.

Step 5: Save and Send Login Information

What to Do: Click Save to create the user profile. NetSuite will send your accountant an email with login instructions.

Dashboard Look: A confirmation banner will appear indicating that the user was successfully added.

Step 6: Accountant Logs In

What to Do: Your accountant will follow the email instructions, log in with their credentials, and gain access to your financial data based on the assigned role.

Dashboard Look: Their name will now appear in your Manage Users list with the Accountant role.

How Many Users Can NetSuite Have?

NetSuite allows you to add multiple users based on your subscription and license type. You can:
